Twlight Bath Bomb Review

Hey Beauties!

Back with another Lush review, You might have noticed I've been posting a ton of Lush reviews recently and it's not without reason! I'll write a full post on as too why I've made the switch from shop brought(superdrug ect.)bath/shower products to Lush products.

When I first picked up Twilight I was hit with a strong lavender scent which I really adore, I love having a hot bath just before I go to bed so lavender is the perfect scent to help send me off to a sleep slumber. The bath bomb itself is really pretty too, I love the raised moon and stars.

Once placed in the bath it began fizzing away but at a slower rate then I expected, people had been telling me it was amazing but for the first 10 minutes it was just purple/blue it wasn't until it got closer to the middle the pink started to show and it looks so so beautiful, when it swirled round the water it was like art! You can also see in the photo I took above there was tons of glitter which is obviously(refer to my blog name.) always a good thing in my books! The water also turned the most gorgeous blue to start with and finished being a deep pinky/purple full of beautiful shimmer.

Once in the bath I noticed how soft the water felt which I later discovered was down to added cocoa butter it left my skin feeling super soft too. The smell also changed for me, it got really sugary sweet, I can't pin point exactly what it was but it was like lavender and vanilla mixed together which I didn't mind but I was a little disappointed the lavender had got over-powered. The smell lasted a good time on my skin too which I was really happy about and the shimmer was there but I didn't feel like a disco ball(sad face!)

I would 100% repurchase this one and I think it would make the a perfect first time lush buy too, just so you can experience how magic lush can be!

Batiste Stylist Range

 Hey Beauties!

Hope your all having a wonderful weekend! I recently received these hair 'stylers' from the new Stylist range with Batiste*, I've always been a massive fan of products like this as they just give your hair the little bit of omph that blow drying by yourself sometimes doesn't achieve. There's 5 new addictions, Hairspray, XXL plumping powder, Frizz Tamer, Heat and Shine spray but today I've for the XXL Volume spray and the Texturizing spray which happen to be the ones I would have picked up myself given the choice!

Texturizing Spray - I adore texturizing sprays however I've never got on with 'salt sprays' they make my hair greasy for some reason and weigh it down. This one happens to work like a dream, I use it on my second day 'curls' to put a little life and definition back into them. It's not sticky and once it's in my hair I can't feel it which is a massive bonus!

XXL Volume Spray - My favourite of the two, again I use this on second day hair. I spray it in to my roots and it gives it such a big lift although, I do have to brush it out as it leaves a little big of a 'grey tinge' I'm not sure how well it'll work with really dark hair but on my orange/brown combination it's fine. It does flatten through out the day but I tip my head upside down and give it shake and it springs back up. It also smells amazing too.

So there we go, do I recommend them? Absolutely! They are brilliant and I can't wait to give the rest of the Stylist collection ago. I love the sound of the heat protector and the plumping powder!

How to efficiently use Instagram

Hey Beauties!

I'm just going to go out there and say it. I'm addicted to instagram(follow me at @glitterinfatuation) and it's now become my #1 social media app, I can spend ages looking through posts and fawning over beautiful flat lays but I also really enjoy using it as another way to connect with my readers and promote my blog. So, I'm no professional instagramer and I don't have 90k followers but I thought I'd share with you some hints and tips I've picked up to help with growth and making instagram connections.

Bright Photos - This is my #1 tip for instagram, bright, clear and eye catching photos will really capture people if you think about it, when your fast scrolling through your feed what makes you stop and look? a dimly lit blurry photo of a lip gloss or a bright saturated photo of a lip gloss? Use editing apps such as Enlight(my personal favourite) and the instagram editor to really hone those picture perfect snaps.

Connect! - People seem to think instagram is all about the photos when in fact your can have pretty decent chats with people over the DMs and even on the photos themselves don't be afraid to leave comments and reply to comments too! It's a really fab way to get to know like minded people and it honestly couldn't be easier!

Use yo' hashtags - Hashtags are so important if your looking for further out reach and broadening your connections. #bbloggers & #beautyblogger our my personal favourite as everyone on these has the same interests as me. As well as using them, browse them too it's the perfect place for inspiration. A few other great hashtags are #makeupaddict #motd and #makeup.

Keep Track - Using websites like Iconosquare means you can get a really good look at your instagram statistics. It tells you everything from your best posting times(mines a Sunday at 12pm!) your weekly growth, Your spread rate and how to optimize your insta feed! It's such a handy little website and at a glance tells you everything you need to know and do!

Post - You of course post photos if you use instagram but the trick is keeping it consistent. Week days I post twice and day and on the weekend I aim for thrice! Keeping yourself relevant and always popping up with something new and interesting for you followers is a huge key!

I think that's the basics! Hope they help!

Revisiting Prague

Hey Beauties!

I recently received this gorgeous Scratch off map*(photo's pending! check back wednesday, it's a beaut!) which has inspired me to add more travel into my blog, I heading to Brighton in a few weeks time but today I thought I would just have a chat about one of my favourite abroad holidays!

In 2012 Matt(my fiancĂ©e) and I went on out very first holiday alone to Prague we've been on holidays since but this was my favourite! We'd wanted to go for such a long time as Matt had friends that lived out there and we both aren't really beach/relaxing holiday people. I prefer going away and exploring a big city(we're thinking Washington DC next!). We both needed a break and as it was a city holiday we didn't want to go for too long, they can get pretty tiring!

super old photo of me lol!
One thing I absolutely loved about this holiday was the flight time, it took less then 90 minutes on the way there and even less on the way home, If your not good with flying(I happen to love it weather long or short haul) then it's a great destination to travel too. We also flew with Wizair, I won't rave about this company too much it was a basic flight although we were aloud one carry on each and then had to pay for any suitcases. We ended up taking one but I think it cost us around £69 which is pretty expensive, we just managed to get 4 days worth of clothing in there for 2 people!

If you've never been to Prague I would 100% recommend it, it's an absolutely stunning country with so much to see and do. The architecture is out of this world and in some places it feels like your in a fairy tale! There was a small little market in the centre and it was just adorable the fruit stands were amazing and everything looks so delicious if your a foodie prague is such a good place to go. We also went to the castle and although its a massive walk up a really steep hill once you get to the top there is the most amazing views! Another favourite place was the Zoo, it was really open and not so enclosed as ours, all the animals had tons of space to run around in and even 'mountains' to climb up too, definitely one of the best zoo's I've been too!  I also felt safe where ever I was in Prague and I'd recommend it to couples 100% if beaches aren't your thing!

I've added a few photos throughout the post, sorry if the quality is a little rubbish they're all from my facebook.
Have you ever been to Prague? If so what did you think?

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Cream Review

Hey Beauties!

I'm not sure when or how this hand cream set from Crabtree & Eyelyn came into my life but what I do know is they've had a face lift since. These are the old style tubes and India Hicks is now called Caribbean Island Wild Flowers.  Anyway, I assume the formula is exactly the same for all three so I thought it was about time I did a little review, I'd left them over at my mums and her 'plant table' looked like the perfect spot to snap some photos. I really enjoy the aesthetics of this one, I hope you do too!

La Source - I always get a little bit of a seaweed/salty vibe from this one, although beautiful it's not one that makes you want to keep on smelling throughout the day. However, if strong smells aren't what your after this one is perfect, very natural and very clean.

India Hicks Island Living - Scented with Wild Lillys this one is my favourite of the three! It's a little bit coconuty but gorgeously floral too. The scent lasts ages on the hands but you only need a small amount as it can be a little greasy. Great if you've got really dry hands though.

Gardeners - I often associate Crabtree & Evelyn with this packaging, it's always been one that sticks out to me as it looks target towards a small group of buyers, the gardeners. Rich with Shea butter and smelling like it too! It also has a smell that really reminds me of my grandmas green house in the summer, this ones more nourishing on the skin.

I absolutely love this little hand cream sets and think they make the most beautiful gifts! Who wouldn't want three little tubes of hand creams all offering three different types of hand therapy!
Have you ever tried Crabtree & Evelyn? What did you think?

Lush Haul #2

 Hello Beauties,

I know, another Lush post! This time in the form of a haul. I would have had something else but the Sun's been somewhere else this week so photo taking hasn't been the best so here is my 2nd haul in 2 weeks! I completely forgot they where bringing out new Oxford street store products to our high street so I had to go back in and pick a few pieces up!

Happy Hippy - I don't usually pick up shower gels(apart from snow fairy) from lush but Happy Hippy caught my eye.  I love anything that smells citrus and this is gorgeously grapefruit there's also a really lovely Lemon zing!

Yoga Bomb - I won't talk too much about this one as I literally just reviewed it HERE, it's gorgeous! Perfectly relaxing and a deep woody scent that just puts the world the right way up again.

The Godmother - I couldn't find a link to this one but if you love snow fairy you will absolutely love this, the smell is identical and reminds me of Pear drops! I'm hoping the scent stays on my skin as long as the shower gel does, so I can get my snow fairy kick all year!

Respect Your Elders - This one is actually Matt's but I'll include it, We spent so long smelling them all looking for a suitable 'man' scent. Of course there's no such thing as a man scent but we settled on this one, it smells like grape juice to me but rich and woody. Not one to be passed up it also looks gorgeous sitting on the side of the tub!

Montalbano - My first ever shampoo bar! & I've got to say its a good one(I'll be reviewing this one and Big in full soon!) I asked the lovely staff what shampoo will be good for hair that's prone to grease and she instantly passed me this. It's so lemony to smell. I adore it already!

Big Solid conditioner - I didn't want a conditioner to make my hair lank and oily so I went with this, it's pretty pricey at £5.59 per 55g and lush only sell 100g at a time so each purchase will cost more then £10 however, I can tell you that I really adore it. It smells like coconut but also a little salty, I cut  off half a grape size chunk and smooth it through my hair ! It's made such a huge difference to my hair and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it.

Have you tried anything from the Oxford street range?

Lush Yoga Bomb Review

 Hey Beauties!

Guess who's been to lush again, I went last week but they hadn't brought out the new Oxford Street range to the local stores yet so of course I had to go back and get a few more pieces!

I'm not sure if Yoga Bomb is new or if it's part of the Oxford street range but it's completely passed under my radar before now. I saw someone on instagram post about it and I thought 'I have to get that!' When I picked it up I was expecting heady lavender floral as its meant to be a relaxing/yoga bath bomb. However, on first sniff I can pick up a real woody scent, it reminds me a little of incense burners but it's sweeter with a hint of floral. Like nothing I've ever tried before so I popped it in my basket to take home.

Once it's plopped in the bath it begins to fizz, for me it actually fizzed super slowly and took maybe 10 minutes? I think that's a pretty long time for a a bath bomb. All gorgeous oils where released into the water and the air making my whole flat smell amazing. Once in the bath I noticed tons and tons of gold lustre! If you look real close in the last photo you can see it reflecting off the flash. Mine lso didn't let any of the shocking purple/blue out till right at the very end! My water went a funny greenish gold colour that reminded me of swamps, but the glitter won me over so I didn't mind too much.

Once in the bath I noticed that the water was super soft but not like the way Creamy Candy with the cocoa butter makes it soft more like oily? but not in the slightest bit greasy. My skin was super hydrated and when I got out(not covered in glitter much to my dismay!) it looks refreshed. clean and rejuvenated which was lovely! I also felt really relaxed and ready for bed.

Have you tried you tried Yoga Bomb?

The Real Benefits of Green Tea!

Hello Beauties!

I'm sure by now we've all heard about the amazing super food Green Tea, It's completely magical in all the ways. If you drink 9 cups a day you'll loose 9 stone 'apparently' and it burns away all the fat so you can have that wash board belly.(please detect my sarcasm?) but Alas! if this was the case everyone would be doing it, Green Tea after all is not a new thing people have been doing it for thousands of years. I thought I would give you an insight from someone who's been drinking green tea for years and ya' know is a real human being(I hope anyway), ME!

I'm not saying I am all clued up about how if effects you insides or what the antioxidant count is but I can however tell you how it's changed my body and my overall feelings towards it, so if your thinking about starting you can have some realistic expectations not media forced over exaggerated nonsense!

So, I started drinking green tea about a year ago and in that time I've gone through so many brands. To be really honest with you I hated the taste at first and thought it kinda smelled like pee! but through experimenting and adjustment I've settled on 3 favourites Twinings, Clipper and Pukka Tea's Supreme Matcha. I really suggest trying as many as possible, once you start drinking it it's so easy to get hooked, might as well get hooked on a good one right?

The main reasons I started drinking Green tea was to loose weight, improve my skin and I can honestly say it does work. In terms of the weight loss I'd say it does help with suppressing my appetite, I'm not as hungry as before and I don't feel the need to eat everything in sight but I've never weighed myself so I couldn't tell you how much I've lost but just know healthy eating and being active also plays a massive part! I also found before drinking green tea I would feel really bloated and uncomfortable after eating now I never get either feeling in fact, I never get bloated so if that's something you suffer with I would really recommend green tea however, the 'fat burning' rumours I don't believe at all. My skin has also improved and looks much brighter and redness caused by blemishes is almost completely gone, I also suffered with a really red nose for a while(no idea why) and that went down too.

In terms of how my overall being feels? Well, I feel the same. I don't have any more/any less energy then before and it hasn't changed my hormonal balance mood swings/laughing fits still come and go as they please. I do however feel like putting Green Tea in my body is benefiting me although I probably can't see everything good it's doing, in comparison to fizzy drinks or cappuccino's it's doing so much more for me, I'll choose Green Tea over anything else these days!

Well, I'm done. I think I've said all I can about Green Tea but if you have any questions do let me know!

Makeup Revolution Contour Palette Review

 Hello Beauties!

Makeup Revolution suprised me with this beautiful Contour Palette* the other week and I've been dying to type it up and tell you guys all about it. I've heard its a great dupe for the ABH contour palette but as I don't currently own that one I won't comment on it.

The package is similar to most of Makeup Revolution's range, a sleek black case with a large mirror on the inside, like always it feels sturdy but I wouldn't want to to drop it! Inside the palette contains 3 highlights and 3 Contour colours along with 2 shimmer 'illuminating' highlighters. The highlighting shades along the top consist of a matte peach, matte yellow and a shimmery peach tone, all great highlighting tones especially with the colour correcting tones. The contour colours have a medium warm tone, a cool tone and a really warm toned shade. The first illuminating highlighter is really a really cool super shimmery shade and the second is a warmer golden shimmer!

One thing I think is a huge bonus but also makes this palette not my favourite is the pigmentation! It's super pigmented and in most cases this is an amazing thing, but with this palette I struggled blending the darker shades perticually was almost impossible. Now, It could have been my base but I found it so so difficult to blend the darker shades out the lighter shades on the other hand worked well but not with my pale skintone! I absolutely love the Illuminating highlighters though especially the cool toned one! I wouldn't completely write this palette off however it just wasn't suited to my skintone. I think if you have tanned-medium tan skin it would be absolutely perfect!

Have you tried a contour palette? If so which ones?

Lush Haul #1

 Hello Beauties!

I've not any type of haul in such a long time! I popped to Lush this afternoon as I was running low on bath bombs and bubble bars! I tried to pick up a few I haven't tried before or not tried in a long time! I'm thinking I might make this a more regular thing as I love my lush bath additions! I'll review all of these full at some point but for now I'll just write my first impressions!

The Comforter - This is probably the biggest bubble bar lush sell and I think I would get at least 3 baths out of it. It smells absolutely beautiful with a sweet berry scent, I also feel as though there's a little citrus scent in there somewhere too!

Creamy Candy - I love the smell of this one as it's super sweet! Not as 'sweet' smelling as Candy Mountain but more candy floss/sugary. I think they might have changed the colour and consistency of this one as I remember it being pale pink and crumbly where as now it's bright pink and really soft.

Twilight - I've always wanted to try twilight but I always forget to pick it up, I'm a huge fan of lavender scents and this is no exception in fact I've got the bag next to me and it's over powering all the other scents. Rich with the real lavender plant scent nothing artificial about this one.

Dragons Egg - When I first smelt this one I got a scent similar to lemon sherbet sweets! It's sweet but also citrus too of my most favourite things. I'm looking forward to popping this one in the bath as I have a feeling it'll look gorgeous when it fizzes!

What's your favourite Lush bath products?!
