Eat Your Photo Review

Hello Beauties!

I was recently contacted by the lovely people over at Eat Your Photo a company that specialises in creating edible photos of your photos so they can be placed on top of birthday cakes, cupcakes, brownies, chocolate and even pizza! They kindly sent me over some cupcakes to try out with my blog header/logo on the top, aren't they darling?

You might have seen these previously on twitter where they were absolutely adored and rightly too! They are quiet possibly the cutest things I've ever been sent and I am so impressed with how lovely my header looks on the top. The header icing itself is your everyday fondant icing and the bottom icing is delicious not quite butter icing but denser and super sweet, and of course the cupcake is absolutely amazing I got vanilla but it also comes in chocolate! The vanilla isn't overpowering but you can still taste it and the cake is so soft and so light!

Overall, I love these little cupcakes and can think of so many ideas and uses! Just imagine, blog meet ups? Birthdays? Weddings? Just about every situation could use a cupcake or two!

Roger & Gallet Shower Cream & Mini Fragrance Collection

Hello Beauties!

I have a tendency to wonder into my local Marks & Spencers as it has a pretty decent sized beauty department there's always large array of products in there you don't normally see in the everyday high-street store. While I was in there on Wednesday I noticed a pretty amazing deal, if you buy any Roger & Gallet product you receive a cute mini fragrance set containing three 10ml perfumes! So I picked up the shower creme in Fleur de Figuier for £9.50 and got the little set free, pretty amazing deal right?

Fleur de Figuier Shower Cream - I actually picked this one up first as the colour of the bottle is the theme I have in my bathroom but on first sniff I fell in love, it's like nothing I've ever smelt before. Its got that sticky sweet smell that is associated with figs but at the same time it's got a 'creamy' scent I found really hard to describe but its the woody notes. It leaves my skin extremely soft and the scent stays on the skin longer then any other shower gel i've used.

Fleur d'Osmanthus - There's a real masculine scent to this one on first sniff, but its cut pretty sharp with a ton of citrus notes. I can see this one being worn on a lady slightly older or even for important 'buisness' events, the scent is serious but plays on the feminine notes which I absolutely love.

Bois D'Orange - Like the name suggest the this has heavy top notes of orange but I can also smell another prominent green basil note. This one if probably the strongest of the three, There's also a spicy note that's not captured until the scent sits and settles on the skin which makes me think of Christmas time!

Fleur de Figuier - My favourite of the three! A condensed version of the shower gel, It's really figgy but I do pick up more of a floral scent with this one, The difference between this one and the shower gel plays more to the sweetness and less on the creamy scent & just now upon reading the description i've seen it has musk! Which explains just why this perfume appeals to me so much, musk is one of my favourite scents!

All in all I feel they are all beautiful scents and they would actually make a really lovely gift, I do feel they are slightly more on the grown up side but if you feel you need a 'fragrance' update to something a little bit more 'adult' then these are definitely the fragrance company for you.

Have you tried any Roger  & Gallet fragrances?

Essence - I Love Nude Lipsticks

Hello Beauties!

I don't know about you but every once in a while something comes along and I get this over welming urge to blog about it! I can't wait to take photos, test the product, swatch and the re-swatch and write just about everything there is too know about them! When I spotted the new spring/summer editions from essence I had to pick them up and try them out, this is the new 'I love nude' range along with the four lipsticks I have here there is another 2, 4 lip glosses, 4 nail polishes, eye shadows and from what I could tell a mascara.

Essence is fairly new to the UK but I've known about it for a good few years and it's always been a brand I hold highly one of their eyeliners is my favourite at the moment! Everything is extremely affordable and good quality, nothing really weighs in at more then £3,50, These lipsticks came in at just £2,30 a pop, They really impressed me in some ways and in others I felt the mark was missed slightly, I think I'll just write about each shade on an individual level as I experienced different things with each one,

01 Wearing Only a Smile - This is the pinkest shade in the bunch but still keeping in the nude theme the lipstick bullet itself looks muted, almost a dusty rose pink but once applied to the lips it's a super super sheer peachy pink, The formula is very sheer which I'm actually not at all used to so I did find it sinking into creases but I think that's to be expected. If I was to wear it again I would definitely pair it with a pretty pink or pink nude matte lipstick to add some moisture with rosy cheeks and a natural eye look as alone with my dark eye make-up and super fair skin it washed me out.

02 Porcelain Doll - A super peachy peach lipstick which on close inspection actually contains some shimmer although this doesn't translate to the lips in anyway, they just look glossy and hydrated. This one was better in the way of opaqueness with less noticeable sinking into lip creases  it also sat better with my fair skin it's still pretty sheer but when I look at it i'm really warming to it.

03 Come Naturally - I'm unsure of what colour to call this one, In the swatch its only slighter dark then what it is in person, maybe a Mink/Taupe? It does have a slight tendency to lean on the brown side too which I don't mind as this is a nude collection and that is too be expected! On the lips I actually adore this one, Paired with the perfect nude you could achieve the non-matte version of the famous Kylie Jenner lip! It's as opaque as it needs to be, its also as moisturising as it looks!

05 Cool Nude - I have to say this one is stunning once applied, the over opaqueness is beautiful for a soft and sheer colour. there's no sinking into creases or uneven application. I also feel like this one for some reason has the longest staying power. The colour really reminds me of the beautiful vintage rose that's so rarely seen. In the swatch I feel like it's come out a little too dark however, it does have an under lying tan shade but matched with my pale skin that's not evident. It's a really beautiful colour!

All in all I do really like these lipsticks, I'm not 100% sure I'll get much use out of the fairer shades as I like my lipstick to be full coverage, but like I said above I'll team them with some lip liners/matte lipsticks and see what other things are achievable. I think the collection as a whole is super pretty but I do feel like these lipsticks should have been matte, seeing as they also released nude lip glosses along side this, matte lipsticks would have been the perfect addition, Never the less I still really like the darker shades and think they are pretty much perfect for every day wear and work! As soon as my local Wilkinsons has the eye shadows in stock I'll be snapping them up too!

Have you tried anything from essence? Will you be trying anything from the 'I love nude' range?

Top 3 Concealers under £5

 Hello beauties!

I'm quite enjoying these 'round up' type posts and today I thought I would do a little round up of my favourite high street concealers. I feel like I should of added the Collection lasting perfection to this but I feel it's talked about so much already. These three are all under £5 too!

Make-Up Revolution Focus and Fix £2.00 - This one is so fair! I think so far, it's the palest concealer I've ever found on the high street which is a pretty hard thing to do! It is however slightly yellow toned it still works well on my neutral skin tone though, its also the lightest in terms of coverage! It last well with only a little creasing in the fine lines.

MUA Cover and Conceal £1.50 - This is the shade 'fair' and is also my most used concealer to date, It's like the collection concealer in terms of coverage and colour but it's a little bit lighter in texture so I feel more is needed, It does well in terms of lasting and I don't feel like I have to re-apply at all throughout the day.

Seventeen Stay Time £4.95 - The most expensive of the three and it's not even expensive, this one by seventeen in the shade 'Extra Fair' is high coverage with a dewy finish although it is ash toned(think grey/green) so it's perfect for covering up redness and blemishes but it's really not good under the eyes for me it makes them look even darker but thinking about it, if your olive toned this might sit better! It last a long time on the skin and sets up pretty quickly so you have to blend at a faster pace.

So there it is! My top three concealers for under £5! I'd love to know what concealers your loving at the moment!

These are a few of my favourite things.. #1

Hello Beauties!

Today I thought I'd show my favourite items of the year so far, I'll try and get one of these posts up every month if possible. I've actually tried so many new things recently so I thought a post like this would be a great way to quickly tell you about them and a mini review of what I think!

Garnier Express 2 in 1 eye make-up remover £3.49 - Being an avid user of the Nivea eye make-up remover but this month discovering the 'new' bottle shape and the price hike up I thought it was a good idea to see what else was on the market.  The garnier version has now swiftly moved into 1st place as it removes my eye make-up(I wear a lot) swiftly without leaving greasy residue I also have no redness or irritation after use.

Essence Liquid ink high shine £2.80 - I actually mentioned this eyeliner in one of my previous posts however, I thought another mention was needed. I LOVE this eyeliner. It's not good for doing a thin line unless your extremely light handed and I don't use this for the tail of my eye-liner BUT for everything else, its so opaque, you can go over the same bit without flaking and it last a really long time without it being difficult to remove. Highly recommend this one!

Make Up Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer £5.00 - I don't remember paying £5 for this primer but that's what the website says! I actually stopped using a primer for a while but got this out on a whim a few weeks ago, it's a thick gel like consistency which tells me it's silicone based? correct me if I'm wrong! I apply a 5p sized to my face, I find it leaves my skin feeling smooth and even and it really helps to fix my make-up in place.

La Roche-Posay effaclar duo[+] £10.50 - This has honestly changed my life, I had heard so many good things about it so after really suffering for about 3 months with my acne I was so eager to try it. I'm actually working on a weekly diary of how it's worked but for now I'd say I'm 2 and a half weeks in and my skin is about 85% better, less redness, less acne, no soreness and no new breakouts. It's just amazing, Stay tuned for the full review!

Make-up Revolution Focus & Fix brow palette light £2.50 - In hindsight I should of got the medium shade but I am in love with this little brow palette, you get 3 colours plus a brow gel a mini tweezer and the most amazing eyebrow brush, it's so perfectly angled I wish you could by bigger ones as I am forever loosing it as it's tiny. I really love the darkest shade in light as it matches my brows and once applied it doesn't budge!

L'oreal Infallible 24H foundation ivory £9.99 - I was previously using the old style of this one and I adored it so I was a little apprehensive to try the 'newer' version but I still adore it! The colour is perfect for my pale skin as it's actually pretty neutral not to yellow and not too pink. The coverage is full and pretty build-able so I would highly advise starting with a little and adding more, I like to use my RT blending sponge to create a flawless base! I will 100% be writing up a full review on this one too!

So that's it, I'd love to know what your favourite the past month have been!

3 Ways to wear a.. Shirt dress!

Hello Beauties!

Thought I'd do something a little different today, I've fallen in love with this years spring/summer key pieces and thought I would put together a few post like this one to show a few different ways to wear each one, today is the Shirt Dress! They are everywhere at the moment and they will be even bigger as summer approaches kind of like a fitted, slightly more dressy midi/maxi dress. Suitable for all occasions and all body types. Today I've chosen 3 very different ways to wear 3 different dresses!

Monochrome is always a classic look but this year it seems to be even more popular with sharp pops of neon bright colours. Teaming this checked number with a choker, leather jacket and black boots and you'll be nailing that 90's trend too!

Tea With Me?
Tea With Me?

I was really attracted to the cut of this shirt dress, It screams 50's with the rolled sleves, tucked in belted waist and calf length, I love the neck tie from topshop and the art deco inspired jewellery I've also spotted on the highstreet!

Paisley is everywhere and will be a huge festival winner again this year, Tan accessories set this super pretty shirt dress off, the gorgeous Zara tassel bag and pretty flower crown effortlessly piece this festival outfit together!

So there's the Shirt Dress! Which one would you wear?
Let me know what you thought of this post as I really enjoyed doing it!
