MUA Nail Polishes Review

Hello beauties,
I'd had my eye on these pretties for a little while now, I love their new bottles they are so cute and dinky. I also love all the new colours they have brought out and a lot of them appeal to me. I picked up these three and I actually leave them on display on my room I like them that much and I will definitely be picking up more.

Moody Mink

A perfect musky purple that dries glossy. It almost has a grey look to it but will look amazing with a cute summer outfit and I find this colour also suits my pale skin really nicely. One coat might suffice but I would personally apply 2.

Strawberry Crush

Ooh now I love this colour, It reminds me of a strawberry smoothie the colour is a gorgeous barbie crème pink with a very glossy finish, I would say 2 coats for an even coverage would be needed.

Bright Coral

This colour screams summer time at me as it would be perfect by the pool or at the beach and would look absolutely amazing with a tan. Bright coral is exactly what it says it is, although to be it leans slightly more towards a pink and red tone not much the orange you normally associate with coral. I would say for a good even coverage 2-3 coats would be beautiful or 2 coats with a white base coat so the colour really pops!

You can find MUA's new nail polishes for £1 in most superdrugs and online HERE.

Have you brought any of MUA's new nail polishes?

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Fluid Review

Another short review today, The lovely people at The Hut & Beauty Expert sent me this cute little Caudalie sample. Now apart from the back it saying you apply it to you face and neck it didn't really give me much information on what it was, So I took it upon myself to find out about this little product! I used this once and then passed it on to my mum as I feel this product would be a lot more beneficial to a mid-aged lady. The first thing that struck me about this product was the smell, its gorgeous it smells of grapes not that awful fake grape smell either but the lovely fresh smell of grapes.

Before I started looking for information about this product I  asked my mum who had been using it for around 4 days what she thought about it, She said 'the texture is very soft and silky, it doesn't weigh down my skin but moisturises it really well. I can also feel my skin getting firmer and feeling firmer and looking brighter' which is probably the best description of this product! as it was doing everything it claimed to do for her.

Another bonus of this product it is 62 times more effective then vitamin E and a SPF 10! I think this would make the most perfect gift for a slightly older lady or someone who needs a little pick me up, I also think this would make an amazing gift, and I'm considering getting my mum a full sized version for her birthday in July.

You can find other Caudalie Products HERE.

Sleek Dip It Eyeliner Review

Hello beauties, Just a little review from me today, I've been meaning to post this for a while but just not got round to it! Is it me or have these eyeliners been around for donkeys years? I remember my nan buying me them in all sorts of colours for Christmas. They've not changed in the smallest of way even the nib is the same.

The things I like most about this eyeliner is how intense the black pigment is and how long wearing the eyeliner is. I also really love the fact you can go over it when it dries and it doesn't flake off like some other eyeliners do. The only downside for me personally is the nib, I found it slightly hard to control as its quite short but its also really thick. Now I know people will look at the photo and be like 'what on earth are you talking about?' but I do find the nib to be a little chunky, you can create a thin line but its not to easy, although the shape of the nib creates the perfect flick with minimal effort.

Have you tried any of sleeks eyeliners?

Sleek Blusher - Pixie Pink - Review and Swatch

Hey beauties,  This is my first sleek review! For a really long time I was umming and ahhing about getting pixie pink and when I finally decided I was going to buy it everywhere I went it was sold out! So I went to my local superdrug and it was sold out there too and just as I was about to walk away when I just had the urge to put my hand at the back of the blusher stand and low and behold I pulled out a pixie pink!

On to the blusher what most attracted me to this blusher was the cute bubble gum pink colour, and its also contains no shimmer which I love. The colour look really bright and vibrant in the pan and when swatched  heavily on my hand you can see just how bright it can be but it also so very easily buildable which I love! It also stays a really long time on the skin!

P.S sorry about the alien shaped face.

Which sleek blusher do you like the best?

Carboot Haul #1

Hey beauties! I thought I would do a little bit of a different post today, I LOVE carboots, they remind me of my childhood I was always at them and I still always am. I like to live by the saying 'one man's junk is another man's treasure' I do tend to buy a ton of items but then not all of them make the cut once I get home,  so they go into a bag for when I do a carboot myself. I really enjoy going but I know they aren't for everyone, Let me know if you like this post as I am going to try and make it a weekly thing.

I absolutely love this lot and I can't wait for the summer to roll around so I can wear them, I got some really great labels in here too e.g ASOS and River Island. I tend to only have one rule when I buy at carboots. 'like new' I wouldn't buy anything that looked worn or was tatty they have to be almost as good as new and if they have the labels on even better!

What do like the best & Do you go to carboots?

First Impressions and Review of Graze Nibble Box!

Hello beauties, Bit of a different post for you and me today its about something I hold very dear to me, FOOD! I love food, and at the moment I'm eating really healthy and have lost over half a stone.  Even before I started eating healthy I had looked at Graze! So this week I took the plunge and ordered my first free box you can find voucher codes everywhere, then I accidently ordered another one, So this morning 3 boxes turned up. I was so excited to open them as you never know what you are getting, using the website you rate what you 'bin, try, like & love' and based on these they will build you a random selection!

Inside my little box I got a 'Hello' welcome book which tells you a ton of lovely information about the company, a 'Welcome' booklet which has all the details of your 4 snacks in, Including calories, fat ect. this also has 4 little pull away tabs to give to friends so they too can get a free box and It also comes with two £5 gift vouchers for Graze that you can give to friends to use! Very lovely.

I know a lot people will be put off at the fact Graze food is healthy and most people would say 'healthy' food isn't the tastiest. How wrong you are!? I was a little apprehensive of this when I saw it in my box, but I can honestly say it was the most delicious snack! The sauce was a lovely tomarto-y barbecue flavour and the whole wheat bread crisps where amazing to dip in! the flavour is so intense, I highly recommend it!

Honeycomb flapjack, I'm a huge lover of flapjacks in all shapes and forms, and I can honestly say these were delicious they were sweet but not sweet and had an almost golden syrup taste, you get three little rolled oat flapjacks which is plenty!

Now, this wasn't something I was expecting as I put 'bin' on most of the spicy foods this one however must have slipped my radar and i'm really glad it did! It's so so yummy! I tried a few of these on their own and then I threw them all over a salad I was having for dinner, YUM!

Yum, yum, yum! mini chocolate circles, dried cranberries, almonds and little pieces of fudge! I really enjoyed this it was so good, In fact although it didn't taste like billionaires shortbread it is lovely and the fudge really works well with the sour cranberries, I ate this after my dinner and it was really filling.

I really enjoyed this graze box and I am thinking of doing a video review of the other one I got (I gave the porridge one to my mums boyfriend as I don't eat it), I think these are well worth the money as if eaten wisely you can have a lovely snack 4 days in a row!

If you would like to receive a free box then you can sign up using this code L6YJ5YF and by clicking HERE

Have you tried a graze box yet?

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara - Review

Hey beauts, Today I've got the new Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara to show you, I'm constantly looking out for new mascaras as I have notoriously bad eyelashes they are short and straight and so hard to work with, I really like the sound of this mascara, it claims to be their first Gel-Mousse formula which doesn't dry hard or flake(I hate flakey mascara) its also suitable for people who wear contact lenses and with sensitive eyes which really appealed to me, I'm forever getting 'itchy' eyes when wearing mascara for too long!

The brush is also very interesting, the top part holding the brush moves, which is a really effortless way to put on masacra as you don't have to drag your eyelashes up to create a lift, the only down side is I got a little carried away and ended up flicking mascara everywhere. Just be gentle with it!

So here you can see just how terrible my eyelashes are! sparse, short and straight! Gah. BUT this mascara really does make a big difference, I'm not sure if its the gel-mouse formula but it seems to have made my eyelashes look alot fuller although it looks like its clumped which it has I don't blame that on the mascara thats just me, I'm forever making my eyelashes look clumpy just so it looks like I've got some lol! I really like this mascara its the best I've tried in a really long time. It has a great staying power and it didn't irritate my eyes all day(due to the non-flaking) but it was incredibly easy to remove I literally felt the mascara melt away.

Have you tried this mascara? or which mascara are you using at the moment?

ORLY Mani Mini Lacquer Trio

Hey beauties, I was recently sent these drop dead gorgeous ORLY nail polishes from The Hut & HQ Hair to review. Although I can't spot them online I think they might be new releases so keep your eyes peeled because these are well and truly beautiful neons! ORLY is also a nail polish i've not had a chance to try yet so I was so excited to receive these they are free of DBP, Formaldehyde and Tolune which makes me very happy indeed! I've up-ed my editing game with this post so if you like it please let me know as I really enjoyed doing it :)

Glow Stick

Isn't this the neon of all neons? I've never seen a nail polish so bright the application was smooth but you should do at least 3 coats on its own or 2 with a white base coat as it can be a little un-even but its totally worth the effort. When I first put this on I thought 'this could glow in the dark' its not but I think that is what makes a perfect neon colour. I can't wait to wear this in the summer and mix and match it with a nude. The formula does actually dry semi matte with the tiniest hint of shine so if your not keen on matte your gonna need a top coat!

Skinny Dip

Oooh what a pretty blue! I've never really like blue nail polishes but I do like this one, In the photo it really hasn't brought out the luminescence of this colour it's definitely a real bright very almost a turquoise blue. I also noticed while applying this too the dummy nail that it has a very fine shimmer through it and this also dries matte. Like Glow Stick this nail polish will need a white base coat before application but depending on what your like with nail polish you could get away with none and 2 coats, 1 thin, 1 thick.

  Beach Cruiser

Oooh now this is my kind of colour! It's a perfect barbie neon pink like the other two this one also dries matte but I would say it has the most shine out of all 3. This would also need a white base or 2 really well executed coats without. The formula can be a little un-even but like with Glow stick it really is worth it. I can't wait to wear this in the summer with a pretty pink dress!

To finish up, a pretty close up of all 3 beautiful colours!
I think these would be the perfect trio for summer and they would also make a pretty cracking gift not only that but the bottles are small so they are also fabulous to take away on holidays with you.

If you would like to purchese these they will be available here at HQ Hair.

The Ted Baker SS Bloggers Competition!

So it's not a secret I hide. Not in the slightest if you've been around me in person for the last few months I've been obsessing over everything Ted Baker. Even the baby girls clothes in westfields Debenhams have had my heart soaring through the clouds (I don't even have a baby.) I've especially got a soft spot for the 'sweet shoppe' collection.

I was reading on a blog that they are currently hosting a competition on the website for bloggers, in which you must put together a look using 4 different items from the SS collection! Very exciting.

So as much as I wanted a to make a foral everything outfit, I went for something that could be worn day and night and for a variable amount of occasions. I absolutely adore this JAMILIACollar swing top Here, its so pretty and not too much if you know what I mean? the collar has such a pretty pink and black peter pan collard (which match the shoes.) I also love the KARMELAOvine leather trouser Here, which are absolutly amazing, they are totally way out of my price league but that won't stop me lusting over them just think of all the things you could do with them? It's too much. Now, on too the shoes, I've been lusting and lusting over these shoes JOLEEYBallet bow pumps here. for who knows how long, when I was in westfields and I walked past the Ted Baker pop up shop, I'm not going to lie to you ladies I spent a long time looking at the shoes and handbags, I don't know what it is, maybe its the bows?

If you would like to enter this competition you can also enter it Here.

Skinetica Review.

Hey beauties! I thought I would do a little post on my experiences with the brand Skinetica and tell you all a little bit about it if you haven't already heard/read about it! I first took notice when reading a review on a blog and for the life of me I can't remember which blog! Sorry! I'll start of telling you what the website says then what I think, Enjoy!

The website claims the bottle does what it says on the bottle, It's non-toxic, no harsh chemicals, Kind to skin, Dermatologically tested, non-staining, non-greasy and it claims that the product should work within 2-3 days.

The directions for use are to apply to a cotton pad and sweep over the face and then apply a little bit more to problematic areas you should do this once in the morning and once at night. As long as you let the product air dry it can also be worn under make-up.

What I think.

I really like this product, I used it exactly how they said and within 2 days I started noticing a difference. after 4 days of use (bare in mind I was using the small 10ml sample, use it wisely and it will last about a week.) by the end of the week any acne spots I had previously opened had now well and truely healed(not completely gone though) my skins  colouring looked a lot brighter and redness reduced and the thing I am most impressed with was the way it made my pores smaller, as some of you will know I suffer terribly with large pores and this so far is the only thing I've used that I've seen a noticible difference in, in just a few days. Although the packaging could be sleeker I don't see a problem with that , I've also read on other blogs people think that it smells 'chemically' and I have to totally disagree my full sized bottle arrived this morning and I gave it a huge whiff, the only thing that I could smell was a fresh and zingy lemon and lime scent.

If you wish to purchase or read more about Skinetica click HERE.

Have you tried skinetica? What did you think?

Milton Lloyd Perfume - Star

Hey beauties, Back with a rather different post today and I would just like to say this isn't a sponsored post I'd just like to tell you girls/guys about what I've found.

Now some of you lovlies will already know all about Milton Lloyd, an amazing perfumery which makes almost identical perfumes to the higher brand ones but for a lot less.
The perfume I have been wearing for the past few days is called 'Stars' which is identical to my number 1 perfume Alien by Thierry Mugler. I've been wearing alien for a good 5 years now and I struggle to keep up with the money side of it as I love it so much I just spray it all the time. When I came across this a few days ago I was overjoyed. I'd been looking for it for years and there it was sitting in my local pharmacy.  I payed around £3 for a 50ml bottle.

I know the smell of Alien in fact the smell is a comforter to me as well, keeping me calm after panic attacks ect.  So I know the fragrance this smells identical to Alien, The longer i've had it on the more I can smell those woody, amber notes. It last on me for around 5+ hours which I think is amazing!

If you go on the Milton Lloyd perfume website you might be able to spot a few of your favorites!

Have you tried any Milton Lloyd perfumes? Which ones are your favourite?
