THE COMFORTER - LUSH

Hey Beauties!

Back with yet another Lush Review, I've been haulin' recently so I've got a few posts in the bank ready to be rolled out! This time, we have The Comforter, Previous to this I'd always pick it up, smell it and love it but the price put me off at over £5 per bar, I thought it was a little bit expensive for a one time bubble bath.

This particular bubble bar is pretty huge, one of these fits into my whole hand but I've discovered you can break this up and depending on how bubbly and fragrant you like your bath, you can split it into 2-4 parts. So price wise it's actually probably cheaper then the rest of the lush bubble bars you can only get or 1-2 out of!

The smell I mentioned before is amazing and for some reason I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of. The cassis helps this smell really berry scented and the lemon lightly uplifts it. It really is wonderful and as I'm typing this I just thought, its a little bit like Ribena!? Maybe that's it.

This also give the most gorgeous, soft and absolutely tons of bubbles which I adore! Crumbled into the bath it makes the water turn a gorgeous pink colour. This is one of the bubble bars that the smell really gets out and fills up the room too. I love that. It also does a good job of making the skin feel fresh and clean but not very moisturized. This one is perfect for a girly pamper night.

Have you tried The Comforter?

PEACHY KEEN - The body shop Vineyard Peach Duo

The Body Shop have been winning me over recently with all the new releases, new packaging and not to mention the Forever Against Animal Testing campaign, you can sign the petition HERE. However, there will always be a few firm favourites that I will always re-buy.

This snazzy little duo happen to be quite an obsession of mine that started about 3-4 years ago when the Vineyard Peach scent was first released. If your a fan of a gorgeous sweet fruity, slightly floral but not sickly scent you will adore this. The scent reminds me of fizzy peach sweets and stays on your skin for such a long time.

I find the shower gel and gel lotion very similar in scent strength. The Shower gel, like most of the body shops' lather up incredibly, lots of thick luxurious bubbles that don't disappear instantly like some. I also find my skin feels so soft after showering when using this which is rare(dry skin!) and a little bit goes an extremely long way.

This is the first time I've actually brought this duo since they've changed the packaging and also the type of body lotion this is, described on the front as a 'body lotion gel' which in all honestly I can see. I remember it being slightly more watery before but in the above photo you can see it's definitely more dense and gel like. It absorbs super fast and leaves no traces behind.

I honestly love smelling like a juicy peach and this pair really do not disappoint, not only do they smell amazing but they do their jobs without fault! You can buy the shower gel HERE and the Body lotion gel HERE and if you buy it now while it's in the sale it's only £8 for both!

HEALTHY GLUTEN FREE TOMATO & RED PEPPER PASTA

Hello Guys!

Do you ever find yourself doing something and thinking 'I wonder if anyone else on this planet does this too, because if they don't they definitely should...' this is one of those things. Even someone who is completely inept when it comes to cooking(aka me.) can do this.

I'm not much of a cook but as you guys know I do share my very simple and very easy recipes here on my little blog. This however is probably the easiest of them all, perfect for a quick dinner, in the summer and winter and its also 100% Gluten free! My Tomato & Red pepper pasta!

I think the best thing about this little recipe is just how easy it is to throw together. Most off the essentials here will be in your cupboards anyway all you need fresh is the two tomatoes and the red pepper. This recipe actually makes enough for two portions but feel free to double/triple whatever you like to cater to more people!

- First things first, whack your tomatoes, peppers and two/three tablespoons of tomato puree in a blender and blend to your desired consistency. I like mine to be pretty smooth so I keep it going for a while however if you like it chunky just pulse it a few times.

-  This is my favorite part I add it all into a pan on a medium heat and start adding in the additional flavours, for this one I added garlic, paprika, onion and a whole heap of basil but you can pretty much add what you like and to really take it up another notch use all fresh ingredients! I then cook this for about 20-25 minutes the sauce will thicken up and get richer in colour

- Around this time I started to cook the pasta, if your not gluten free like me then use whatever pasta you like however if you are, I highly recommend this one I have from ASDA. Cook for the required amount of time but, if you're like me and like it a little softer cook it for an extra 5-7mins.

- Combine! I like to then place it back on the heat for a couple of minutes just to get everything to the same temperature.

- This is totally optional but I love to add a sprinkle of Engevita for a cheesy taste without cheese, this is also great for people on a plant based diet as it's made with B12. However if you wanna put some cheese on it go for it, I'd recommend mozzarella! Delish!

So there it is, simple & so easy without a bad ingredient in sight. Food like this makes my heart happy, gluten free to keep my tum happy but still comforting and filling enough to keep me sustained for a few hours.

Hope you enjoyed, if you make this recipe don't forget to send me pics!

5 Types of Christmas shoppers...

Hey loves!

Working in retail I've gained a little bit of knowledge about different types of Christmas shoppers, albeit there are hundreds but today I thought I would just pick out my favourite 5 that appear over the festive period.

The 'I'M IN A RUSH' Lady - I'm sure most of the population have encountered this woman at sometime over Christmas. You'll most likely find her standing in the middle of a huge que her coat and scarf half dangling off her shoulders, hair stuck to her forehead with sweat, crazy look in her eye, shouting at people behind the till.. 'ISN'T THERE ANY MORE STAFF?' followed by... 'I HAVE TO PICK MY KIDS UP IN 15 MINUTES.' followed by.. 'YOU KNOW WHAT, I'LL LEAVE IT.' Throwing her goods on the floor and then storming her way through the bewildered public via the nearest exit.

The 'I have no idea what I'm doing' Man - This man is one of my favourites, You'll often see him just aimlessly walking up and down isles, his eyes glazed over. Most of the time this man isn't even looking at the goods in front of him, Just praying that maybe, hopefully something perfect will just jump out and land into the palms of his hands. If  you offer this man any help he will take the first thing you suggest and run for the tills. (This one also respawns around Valentines day.)

The 'You mean you don't sell it?!' person - This person has a specific gift in mind and when you unfortunately have to tell them that in fact, no we don't sell that here, they look at you like you've lost your mind. As much as I wish being retail staff entails making miracles happen I cant run to the stockroom and knit you a Christmas jumper with 2 Christmas puddings and bells on, sorry.

The 'Why didn't you leave me at home?' Partner - This one I feel sorry for but sometimes it's comical to watch a grown man turn into a whiny, tired toddler. 'Can we go?', 'Yeah, that'll do', 'It's hot in here.' & 'I'm hungry.' are all things that come out of this poor fellas mouth. It's annoying for all parties involved and would save both of you a ton of aggro if you just took his credit card instead.

The 'Last minute shopper.' - This shopper has usually just finished work on Christmas Eve and has made the conscious effort of leaving all their shopping till now. Even though the lines are out the door, the traffic is hideous and there really isn't much left on the shelves, this shopper is calm and collected. Why you ask? They've accepted their fate. They know they've messed up and they know all the complications that leaving this type of shopping till the last minute brings. Have they ruined Christmas when mum opens her present round the table and finds a salt and pepper shaker from poundland? well yeah, probably.

Do you know any of these shoppers or are you one of these shoppers?! I probably won't get another post up now until the new year so I hope you all have a magical Christmas!

Eye of Horus Liquid Metal Eyeliner.

Hey Beauties!

Before receiving an email about Eye of Horus I had never previously heard of the brand, So I thought along with a review I'd add some information on the brand to learn a little bit more about their unique stance on make-up.

'Eye of Horus is an Australian, Byron Bay brand of colour cosmetics.

Illuminating essential range of eye makeup based on formulas of the Ancient Egyptians, the originators of beauty and mystique, with sacred ingredients including Organic Moringa Oil “Oil of the Pharaohs”, claimed by the gods for its beautifying and regenerating powers and the ancient oil of Castor Oil.
In a short time the brand has already reached cult status amongst fans, celebrities and professional Make-up Artists and has exported to New Zealand, Ireland, Iceland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, the UK & Europe.
Our Goddess Mascara and Liquid Define became Finalists in the 2014 Beauty Shortlist Awards on the ‘Best Mascara’ and ‘Best Eye Liner’ categories respectively. Eye Of Horus gained itself another fabulous award in 2015 - Best Make-up Brand in the Latest in Beauty Awards.
The range was designed to Awaken The Goddess Within ® every woman by enhancing her natural beauty making her feel like a true Goddess. The Goddess has been around for as long as we know of and has a strong presence in ancient civilisations. We have become accustomed to believe that the Goddess is a mythical concept however this is far from the truth. There is a Goddess in every woman waiting to be aroused. A Goddess who knows she is beautiful the way she is, confident in herself and worthy of all the love in the world.'
So not only do they pride themselves on being the make-up for goddess but they are also 100% Natural Ingredients, Paraben Free, Cruelty Free and Vegan, Pretty impressive right?

I received 3 of the gorgeous Liquid Metal Eyeliners in the shades Alchemy Gold, Ancient Pewter and Copper Sphinx. All three come in the most gorgeous gold packaging and when you flip the box over it has a strip in the same colour as the eyeliner so it's east to differentiate the colours while still in the boxes.

The eyeliners themselves are pretty stereotypical for liquid eyeliners, long handle for easy grip, and a dip in lower part with a flat base to sit on surfaces. Although I found the tip of the eyeliner to be a little bit unusual, the nib is long and flexible just like a felt tip pen and I'm not going to lie, It made the application a little tricky and I did struggle with getting an opaque outcome.

The colour of all 3 shades are beautiful, although the copper translates slightly too orange on my skin tone. I would also say they do take a little bit of patience to work with as the colour pay off swatched isn't exactly what its like on the face, if possible I would lay down a white base before applying this eyeliner just so you could really see the colour pop. The longevity of these eyeliners however is pretty good, the swatches on my arms lasted a good 8+ hours before I scrubbed them off in the shower.

Have you tried anything from Eye of Horus?
